We're going to go out on a limb here and guess that your employees are under-paying for their parking today. This isn't anything to be ashamed of; we see it every day. But once you do develop a policy that provides a reasonable ROI from your infrastructure, you're going to need a way to bill for it. Good news: you've got a few options.
Billing via Existing Payroll & A/R Systems
Many of our clients simply choose to deduct parking charges directly from their employees' paychecks. The benefits are of this approach are myriad. Most obviously, there's no way for drivers to avoid paying their fees, and so you can ignore entirely issues like dunning and collections. You may be able to allow your employees to pay for their parking with pre-tax dollars1 -- a distinction they'll undoubtedly appreciate! Parkio can generate records that are compatible with every major payroll system (PeopleSoft, Lawson, SAP, etc.).
If you've already going an accounts receivable system in place for employees or contractors, Parkio can likely export parking charges to it as well.
Billing via Parkio
Don't have the systems or people in place to bill your employees for parking? Let Parkio do it for you. Our credits-based system turns your employee's badge into a stored-value parking pass (translation: into a Starbuck's card for parking). They can load it up with credits, which will in turn be deducted each time they park in your lots. Prefer to charge your employees monthly for parking permits? We can support that too. Want to charge less for off-peak/night hours? Want to allow ins-and-outs without being charged twice? Want to institute a monthly maximum? Our billing system can support just about any configuration you can dream of (consider this a challenge).
